Columbia Gorge Falls: Bridal Veil Falls and Multnomah Falls

Bridal Veil Falls is located about thirty minutes east of downtown Portland off Columbia River Gorge Scenic Highway. A short downhill hike leads to the beautiful 120 ft fall.

Bridal Veil Falls

Multnomah Falls, a 611 ft tall water fall, is the tallest and most popular water fall along the Columbia Gorge. A mile long hike to the top of the falls is rewarded with beautival views of streams and mini falls.

Banff

Glaciers

The Icefield Parkway spanning Jasper and Banff National Park offers breathtaking views, in particular awesome views of glaciers. Two of the easy accessible glaciers are the Athabasca Glacier which is part of the huge Columbia Icefield and the Angel Glacier by Edith Cavell Mountain. At the first you can take a tour and actually walk on the glacier, at the second, you can hike around the glacier and moraine at your heart's content.
