Waiting for the Sun

While waiting for the sunrise took advantage of the changing light to use some neutral density filters.

Sunrise over Crown Point

Starting in early May, the sun rises above the Columbia River and over Crown Point when viewed from the Portland Women's Forum.  Around the middle of May (and again towards the end of July) the sun will rise right above Crown Point. If the weather cooperate, early risers are rewarded with a GORGEous view. Shot was planned with The Photographer's Ephemeris.
